How to Measure Your Bust, Waist, and Hips

Materials Needed:

  • A flexible measuring tape

  • A mirror

  • A notepad and pen for recording measurements

Steps:

1. Bust Measurement:

  • Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.

  • Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, ensuring the tape is parallel to the floor.

  • Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight, and that it lays flat against your body.

  • Take the measurement in inches or centimeters and record it.

2. Waist Measurement:

  • Find your natural waist by bending to one side; the crease that forms is your natural waistline.

  • Wrap the measuring tape around this area, usually an inch or so above your belly button and below your ribcage.

  • Keep the tape snug but comfortable, ensuring it is parallel to the floor.

  • Take the measurement and record it.

3. Hip Measurement:

  • Stand with your feet together to ensure an accurate measurement.

  • Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, usually about 7-9 inches below your natural waist.

  • Ensure the tape is level and snug but not tight.

  • Take the measurement and record it.
